Less than a year after a major revamp, there’s yet another new Ford Mustang on the horizon.
The latest 2016 Ford Mustang went on sale just last year, starting at around $24,145.
The next model wasn’t scheduled for release until 2022. However, production is being pushed up by two years to 2020, according to a report by a group of accountants and consultants called UHY Hacker Young.
It’s not that the new Mustang failed to impress; an Edmund’s expert review of the latest model said the “Ford Mustang continues to distinguish itself as a muscle car with genuine crossover appeal.” The average consumer rating on the site was four-and-a-half stars.
In a recent Twitter poll by Ford, 38 percent of participants found it “impossible” to choose between the newer Ford Mustang or the classic Mustang.
